Board Of Directors

SWAG is governed by a Board of Directors selected based on each Director’s ability to contribute to the SWAG mission.   Candidates for the board may include creative professionals and persons with experience in for-profit and non-profit businesses, development, accounting, finance, law and construction.   The Board is responsible for stewardship of SWAG’s resources (including available physical facilities and funds) and functions to promote the careers of creative professionals, to support enriching programs for the community, to establish financial stability of SWAG as an organization and its programming, and to create capital growth that will allow planned facilities to be completed. When the operating budget permits, the Board will hire staff to coordinate programming, operations and fundraising

 

  

 

Debbie Teter

Debbie joined SWAG in May 2009. She holds a BS in Marketing and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Metropolitan State College in Denver. She has a fondness for the arts as she had originally pursued a fine arts degree before switching to a business major.  Debbie is the former marketing director of Wildwood Resources,Inc. the fundraising and income generating arm of the Wildwood Child and Adult Food Care Program, a non-profit located in Centennial Colorado.
Debbie brings a diverse background of marketing competencies to SWAG with experience in online marketing strategies, market research, public relations, event planning, publishing and communications to name a few. 
  

 

Carol Cooper

Carol Cooper a Westminster resident for thirty-three years. She is a graduate of Front Range Community College, Metro State College of Denver and finished her education with her masters in Art from Regis University. She has been involved with the development of art in Westminster since 1991. In 2006 she was introduce to a group that would become known as swag.  In the last five years she has taken a more active role by joining the art gallery, first known as the Harris Park Art Co-op and is now the a showing artist at The Rodeo Gallery, Second in serving her community by working hard to bring art to the people. She is an art teacher for Denver Public School and has developed and award winning art program at her school. She continues to serve the board as co-chair and looks forward to helping her community embrace and join in the arts and festivities that the SWAG board promotes.  

 

Sue Lesar

Susan Lesar is a Colorado native who currently lives in Wheatridge. She has been a member of the SWAG board for a little over a year and currently serves as the board secretary.  She is very devoted to developing art throughout the Westminster community.  Sue is an active member of the Rodeo Market Gallery where she sells her handmade crafts and custom designed beaded jewelry.  Sue managed a computer store for several years and now works with SWAG to help maintain the website and computer upgrades. 

 

Richard Chamberlain

Rich is employed in the marketing department at Colorado State University, he is a long time resident of Westminster and participates int he Rodeo Market Gallery.  Rich has served on the board of directors for SWAG for almost 1 year and is very active in the South Westminster Arts Group community.

Mary Lane- Program manager

Mary has lived in Westminster for 6 years, after receiving her BFA in Fashion Design from Stephens College in Missouri. When Mary and her husband moved to Westminster she took an active role in the South Westminster Arts Group in 2007 to help revitalize the neighborhood through artistic endeavours.  Her first objective was to help organize local artists who were also interested in starting an art cooperative in the south Westminster neighborhood.  The Harris Park Art Cooperative operated in a rehabilitated garage building and in 2010, became the Rodeo Market Gallery under the arts umbrella of the SWAG.  Mary currently manages the Rodeo Market Gallery and does programming through SWAG.
